Hi,
Same issue with Virtual Apps 1912 on server 2016, but only with Igel Thin Clients. Remote connections through Gateway and direct connections are not affected.
Updated from XenApp7.15.
This issue seems to be related to VDA 1912.
Before I’ve updated the site, I’ve updated only VDA to 1912 and used it with the 7.15 site and had the same problem.
Disable Session Reliability doesn‘t help.
Now I‘m testing VDA 1906.2. So far I‘m able to say the rpm events are not logged anymore. I‘m waiting for user‘s feedback.

Hi all,
same problem here. Starting with version 79 Chrome runs audio in a sandbox, which is not working on Citrix Virtual Apps.
You need to set this gpo setting to disabled:
Google/Google Chrome/Allow the audio sandbox to run -> Disabled
or in registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome
reg:dword AudioSandboxEnabled = 0

My fault. Shame on me. The wrong network adapter was configured in the template. It doesn't matter what networks I configure in Studio -> Hosting. Changed the template and it works.

I've created my first 15 virtual desktop os vm's on esxi with the Citrix Virtual Desktop Wizard in pvs. It adds the wrong portgroup. My hosting is configured, let's say, for vlan 10. The wizard adds the network adapter for vlan 12.
Has anybody any idea why this happens?
My user, which executes the wizard has permissions to add network adapters.

Wanted to download a new Citrix Gateway license to check the security issue (https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX267679) fix on our test Netscaler, which is not used for production, only to test updates and settings. Cannot find eval licenses anymore. Thats really sad.
Any ideas?

I can also confirm that 1907 resolves the issue. Would be interesting to know what changed from 1906 to 1907 exactly.

I had an open case (#79019009), but Citrix closed it because I've been on vacation, although I've informed them about contact Information of my colleague. Maybe you want to open a case to in reference to mine?
Rename files is helping sometimes, but not often.

content redirection (fta) for office is not working correctly on windows 10 and windows 7.
Example: docx file started in local windows explorer opens Word on Citrix but it cannot open the file and shows a new empty document (document 1.docx).
Excel comes up with error 'file not found'. Powerpoint with a really long error message which tells me to check antivirus program.
This issue exists:
- with Citrix Workspace App 1811 and higher
- not with Citrix Workspace 1810 and lower and Citrix Receiver 4.x
- on a new set up windows 10 with no ms patches
- with a user who has no gpo's applied
- no matter which user is logged on
- with regkey nativedrivemapping (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Configuration\Advanced\Modules\ClientDrive) set to True on windows 10 pc.
- with XenApp 7.15 CU1 2008R2 site and XenApp 7.15 CU1 2016 site
A few files work and others don't. Always the same files work and the same don't.
If I copy a file which doesn't work the copy works.
If I create a new docx it's not working.
no matter if doc, docx, dotx, xls, xlsx...
if you log in to a client and open a file which normally doesn't open correctly it opens correctly. If you close the file and reopen it within the same session it's not working anymore, also in a new Citrix session. You need to log out and log in again at the client.
It works with Citrix Receiver 4.11 up to Workspace App 1810.
Same issue with Citrix Virtual Apps 1903 and Citrix Workspace App 1811 and higher.
It's definitely related to a change in Workspace App 1811.

Tested it in an other server 2016 XenApp 7.15 CU1 site with Workspace App 1903 in another domain with another Windows 10 client. Same issue there. It has to be a new feature or similar which came in place with Citrix Workspace App 1811.
1811 changed client drive mapping. Because of that I've set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Currentcontrolset\services\picadm\Parameters Name: DisableFullStreamWrite DWORD to 1 and rebooted my test VDA. That wasn't the reason for the problem.
Replaced vdcdm30n.dll from 1811 with the one from 1810. Not helping. Compared the HKLM\Software\WoW6432Node\Citrix Keys from 1810 and 1811. In 1811 the key LegacyFTAIcons changed to True, while it was empty in 1810. Changed it to empty in 1811 and restartet Workspace App. Same issue.

Hi,
I'm planning to move my now mirrored sql database fma, log, mon to a new mirrored sql database. That's documented badly. I've found this: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/advanced-concepts/implementation-guides/database-connection-strings.html and downloaded the scripts.
But:
- Do I need to export sql database from old db-server and import it on new sql server? Or do I need to create a new empty database?
- If import: Do I need to import it on both db-servers or just one, create the connection strings and create the mirror afterwards? Or do I need to create the mirror and set the connection strings afterwards?
- The scripts provided are ok and the description as well, but, which one do I need to run in which order?
I'm confused.

Hi all,
2 PVS servers W2K16, 64 GB RAM, 4 vCPU
130 target devices (2008R2 & 2016)
boot with DHCP options 66 & 67
Steps ip acquisition and bootstrap download are fast. After that the Windows logo is displayed for a long time and after that it jumps back to a black screen where it displays the pvs version, server and client ip and then OS boots.
Windows logo is displayed for around 1:26 min.
black screen with information for around 4 sec.
Virtual Disk Status boot time: 29 sec.
configured:
Threads per port: 4
Streaming ports: 6910 - 6947
Everything else set to default
Write Cache RAM with overflow
PVS vDisk Store on PVS local SSD Netapp disk
Interrupt safe mode is disabled.
PVS and targets are VMs on esx 6.5.
What could be the culprit here? How can I analyze this?

I have a login page with a drop down (created with Portal Theme and rewrite policy & action), because we wanted a single url where user's could choose the needed environment in drop down and therefore be redirected to the correspondent XenApp site. It's working with build 56.20 and basic auth policy.

Hi,
beginning with Netscaler 12.0 build higher 56.20 some classic expressions and policies are deprecated. In 56.20 I use a basic authentication policy for radius (ns_true) which is bound to the Netscaler gateway virtual server. With newer versions this policy is unbound and I can't bind it because it's deprecated. I've created an advanced authentication radius policy (expression TRUE) but I can't find any option to bind this advanced policy to my virtual Netscaler gateway server (only advanced authentication saml is possible).
How am I able to bind an advanced radius authentication policy to a virtual gateway server?
Do I need to configure radius otherwise now?

Same issue with Igel UD3 Windows 7 embedded. 1912 virtual apps site, VDA 1912.

seems to be related to VDA 1912 in connection to Thin Client OS.
