  3. As part of the Application Analytics, the Web Insight provide tons of informative data for infra admin, security admin and also app admin to identify any performance issues and also security issues. Information includes application performance anomalies, app response time, network latency, app server slowness, SSL app insights, web app security and bot events and more... In this video, you can find out what information Web Insight can provide, what issues Web Insight can help and how Web Insight can help remediating them... Fruitful contents with demo...
  4. As we always mention, a proper app delivery solution is not only about deploying an ADC to deliver requests/responses to/from your users/apps, but also the performance and management of the apps after being delivered. NetScaler ADM Service is a cloud service for not only centralized managing your NetScaler fleet, but also providing adequate information on the performance, security and behaviour of your apps and app delivery infrastructure. Among those analytics, App Usage Analytics is the one based on AI/ML and helps you: Figuring out what Apps are using the most resources and how they are.Showing how your apps are performing normally or abnormally.Alerting any suspected behaviour or security issues happened on your apps.Suggesting the best maintenance timeline according to the daily usage patterns. Many more...Let's take a look at the following video and see how the above can be achieved by App Usage Analytics in ADM Service.
  5. Applications are the heart of the business and operations of most of the enterprises. As a successful enterprise, having the sophisticated and well-designed applications are NOT enough. You will need a well-performing and promising app delivery platform, with insightful analytics, in order to ensure the well-developed apps are running nice and effective. NetScaler ADC is a well-known and industry-leading app delivery controller. It handles every transaction of the apps and keeps an eye on every request and response behaviour. Hence, it is in the perfect position to gather all the transaction information, and pass this analytic data to the NetScaler ADM for the app performance analytics and any anomalies detection. Application Dashboard in the NetScaler ADM is a single pane of glass, showing you the application analytics and performance scoring of your apps being delivered thru NetScaler. It provides not only an overview of ALL the apps performance, but also specific app's visibility and analytics by clicking and drilling down from the dashboard. Finally, Application Dashboard and Application Analytics in ADM will also suggest you the remediations to the discovered performance or security issues.
  6. As everyone may know, NetScaler is in the critical position of the app delivery. Every transaction (both requests and responses) of that app must go thru the NetScaler. At the same time, all these transaction statistics and events are sent from NetScaler to ADM. By digesting all these data, ADM can provide network/app admin lots of informative and critical statistics and analytics, of how the application performance is. Nevertheless, some app admins do have their own app monitoring dashboard and systems. New Relic is one of these popular 3rd-party App Performance Monitoring Tool. Integrating ADM data with New Relic can provide a single App monitoring pane to the App Admins. In this video, you will how ADM can be integrating with New Relic and what information can be shown there.
  7. Today, the market trends and customer demands are changing frequently and continuously. Enterprises need to cope with this rhythm, in order to achieve their business goals and retain a competitive position in such severe-fighting market. IT infrastructure team, application team and security team of these enterprises would need to adopt a new way of resources management, so that most of the resources and apps roll-out can be self-service and provisioned. Such automation covers stages across the development, testing and staging, and finally production. Since NetScaler ADC is playing a key role in the App Delivery Platform, it also supports automation by not only ADM Service, but also other 3rd-party automation tools, like Ansible, Terraform, etc... In this video, you will listen to our briefing on the NetScaler ADC Automation overview and also enjoy the demo on automation with Anisble. Please also be aware that there are labs for our NetScaler ADC Automation in our Community Portal and you are welcomed to try (https://community.netscaler.com/s/netscaler-labs).
  8. CICO licensing for ADC instances in ADM is a key feature in enabling a flexible and scalable hybrid multi-cloud app delivery platform. As you all should know, every ADC instance must have a license allocated, before it can perform its job. Without CICO licensing, every ADC instance needs to be installed with a proper license file MANUALLY, creating hiccups in a establishing a fully automated and orchestrated platform. When more and more enterprises are adopting cloud (private or public) infrastructure, with automation and orchestration, such a CICO licensing function in ADM is crucial to ensure any ADC instances can be up and running flexibly, without any human intervention. Now, CICO licensing also supports both "managed" and "unmanaged" devices in ADM. This ensures it can be applied to any ADC instances use cases, from dev test, to staging and even production platform. Please take a look at the following video for a brief explanation.
  9. The Management and Monitoring features are the core values of ADM Service. It helps easing the daily operation workload, automating tasks to reduce human-errors and visualizing the truth with insightful analytics. In the video below, we are going to have a quick briefing on 3 of those management and monitoring features: Generating techsupport bundle for Primary/Secondary NetScaler directly from a centralized consoleViewing Network Reports with daily data points within a month durationRescheduling the Config/Upgrade jobs when an unforeseen ADM Service event occursPlease feel free to comment and discuss. Thanks for watching!!
  10. Several NetScaler monitoring and management feature enhancements have been released in ADM. They include: SSL Crypto Utilization metrics are now available in Network Reports. Users can create their own network reporting dashboard, with those SSL crypto utilization stats.Zero Capacity License Expiry Information reflects the expiry date of the users' Z-Cap NetScaler appliances.SDX Upgrade, with the support of selecting the SDX images, directly from the NetScaler resource library online. For details and demo, please take a look at the following short video and feel free to comment.
  11. ADM Service agents, which are deployed in your every on-premises or Cloud data center, are "evergreen". Similar to other SaaS, most of the ADM components and their lifecycles can be managed by Citrix/NetScaler. Hence, these little ADM Agents on premises, which communicate with the ADM Service in the Cloud, can be maintained and automatically upgraded to the latest firmware, if necessary. There is a little tweak for you to schedule the upgrade time according to your local time zone or GMT time zone by default. Please refer to the following short video to view the details.
  12. Having been released for several years already, most of the NetScaler customers had already heard of NetScaler Console many times. Moreover, many of the them have even been using such an on-premise VM for managing multiple NetScaler ADCs and providing application analytics, like Web Insights and HDX Insights. In fact, besides the on-premise NetScaler Console, NetScaler has also offered another SaaS-based NetScaler Console. With that, the customers can enjoy the same manageability and analytics of NetScaler Console, but without any hassle in managing the on-premise NetScaler Console Server and its storage. In addition, only NetScaler Console Service can provide AI/ML capabilities in helping customers manage, monitor and secure their app delivery performance. Many customers have been using ADM Service already. Why not you??
  13. Recently, couple of identified CVEs triggered many of our customers thinking: 1) Whether their NetScaler being impacted? 2) If yes, what version of firmware should their NetScaler be upgraded to? 3) Any other workaround needed to be done? With the Security Advisory in ADM, it can alert the admin which NetScaler instances (which are being managed by ADM) are impacted and should be upgraded. It will also list out what version should be, or can be, upgraded to, together with the online firmware repository. This video will show how ADM Security Advisory can help in the recent CVE-2022-27518.
  14. Action Policy is a feature in ADM, which defines what should be done whenever an specific event happened. For example, a user can use Action Policy to define whom should be notified, if an critical app's response time was over the threshold. In the old days, 1 Action Policy can be assigned to one application only. If a user has multiple critical apps, which should have the same response time threshold and action, multiple Action Policies need to be created and assigned. With the current enhancement, one Action Policy can be assigned to multiple apps if the requirements and behaviour are similar. Also, you may create the Action Policy directly from the Web Insight Analytics, if anything went wrong as seen in the statistics. It is a much simpler workflow.
  15. NetScaler is designed in a software-centric approach. With NetScaler, you can have the same app delivery functions and consistent operational efforts, across different form factors and platforms. NetScaler BLX enables our customers to transform their own standardized server hardware into a NetScaler appliance. As DevOps and infra automation are hot in the industrty, customers may also be seeking for some ideas on how to automate the operation and management tasks of NetScaler in the hybrid mutli-cloud environment. In this video, our NetScaler experts will showcase the below: Demonstration of the smart conversion of a Linux host into NetScaler BLX through the Terraform. The co-existence aspect of NetScaler BLX to function with other Linux appsHere, you may find more information regarding our NetScaler BLX and the automation capability with Terraform. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-adc-blx/ https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-adc/current-release/deploying-vpx/citrix-adc-automation.html
  16. Hi Simon, The expression you are using "HTTP.REQ.URL.CONTAINS" is just checking the URL part of your request, i.e. the string after your FQDN. E.g. if your site is "https://access.corp.com/login.html", it is just checking "/login.html". To check the FQDN (i.e. "access.corp.com"), you can use "HTTP.REQ.HOSTNAME.CONTAINS". Thanks and regds, Chris
  17. I like the new design of our logo net>scaler. The ">" is the tricky and familiar sign for every one of us, who always logs on the CLI of NetScaler. It is the shell prompt ">". It also relates NetScaler to the current modern app delivery, which always includes certain scripting.
  18. ADM Service helps you manage your fleet of NetScaler ADC instances, which are being used anywhere in hybrid multi-cloud. Any daily operations or routine configurations changes can be scheduled and done by ADM Service automatically. Security Advisory in ADMN Service is specifically design to ensure the security posture of your NetScaler instances. It helps you identify what CVEs is impacting your NetScaler fleet, or which NetScaler is impacted by which CVE. With that, you can arrange the ADM Service to rectify it, by upgrading the NetScaler to the appropriate fixed version and/or configuring any required policies/commands to mitigate the issues. Please take a look at the following short video to know more...
  19. Oh. Then I think I will let our techsupport to give you an professional answer as there must be other log files providing more visibility and deep investigation. Just one thing: normally, I would look into the ns.log files (maybe zipped into different versions already) around the failover timestamp and from that file, looking for any abnormal events happened around/before the failover happened. Surely, it might just give you the abnormal event (e.g. link down). The root cause behind that might need further analysis.
  20. Hi Simon, Have you ever tried uploading the support bundle to CIS (https://cis.citrix.com/) for a quick analysis? This is the supporting tool and everyone can use it via your Citrix account credential. Once you log in, go to "Workspace" and click "Tools". Following the dialog, you can upload the support bundle file and it will automatically analyse all the logs for you. After a while, an email will be sent to you, with the link for you to read the result. See whether this online tool could help you troubleshoot first. Surely, any NetScaler with a valid support maintenance could also open a support case in your scenario.
  21. Yes. You are correct. Enabling the Authentication setting in that LB VServer Configuring the required info, like logon FQDN, AAA Vserver, etc...Configuring the required info for the corresponding AAA Vserver. All the nFactor flow in AAA Vserver is the same as the one used in Gateway Vserver use case.
  22. Yes, something like that: And in the first Trusted-IP factor, the trusted-ip-pol policy is like that: The Other-IP policy is like that: You may try other combinations and alternatives going on and on. Good luck~!
  23. Yes. By using nFactor Auth approach, you may setup a Factor, with No-Auth policy, to distinguish the client source IP and see whether it is within a defined internal subnet. If yes, will go to the next Auth Factor directly. If no, will go to an EPA Factor, and then to the Auth Factor. Using the nFactor Visualizer to configure will be easier for you to track the flow.
