  1. Hi,

yes i can launch it internally via StoreFront url. The weird thing is, sometimes the application launches but after a few minutes/hours, it suddenly won't start and giving me this error "The Citrix SSL server you have selected is not accepting connections."

    Hi,

Are you able to launch app internally using direct storefront URL? If yes can you check your firewall rules and route on the ADC?

Can you check the Storefront and Delivery controller event logs this might give you some indication ?

    Thanks

    Manoj

  2. Hi

I already setup Citrix virtual apps and desktops 1912 and Citrix ADC 13. I also configured Storefront and Delivery controller load balancing and Citrix gateway for my external connections. I'm having an issue when i launch applications using citrix gateway. "The Citrix SSL server you have selected is not accepting connections." you can see on the below screenshot.

Earlier when i tested it, it works. but after several hours the error above occurs. May i know what could be the problem/solution for this?

    Thanks.

The most precise answer would be:

Yes we can (trump-fans, sorry for a political incorrect joke).

BUT! It's not supported and, like Daniel mentioned, there is no synchronization going on, so both boxes will not synchronize configuration. However, they will form an HA pair.

    To successfully create HA,

    • both ADCs should be on exactly the same hardware (VPX, MPX, SDX, CPX, BLX). Should is different from must!
    • they need the same firm-ware.
    • they should have equivalent cabling (so 0/1 and 0/1 connected to each other as well as traffic interfaces like 100/10 and 100/10 connected to each other. HA synchronization may fail, If they don't, or traffic packets may get lost).

It's wise to set the "original" ADC, meaning, the one you already used, to stay primary (set ha node -hastatus STAYPRIMARY) prior to actual setting up HA. Otherwise you risk to get the "new", the not configured box primary, ald loose all configuration (the ns.conf files will still be there, but it's 10 minutes of fun to get back to the original state.

    Hi Johannes,

Just an additional question. As stated on my post, I have an existing NetScaler VPX version 11.1 Build 50.10. My another concern is would it be possible if they are on a different build? Can both NetScaler synchronize? The only available on Citrix downloads is NetScaler VPX  11.1 Build 65.12.

After doing HA, i'm also planning to Upgrade to version 13.

    Thank you.

  4. Hi

I have a 1 existing Citrix ADC VPX 12.1 appliance and currently use for load balancing and ICA proxy. My question is we're planning to implement a new Citrix ADC VPX for High Availability.

My question is, can I configure HA with different Citrix ADC version? For example my existing 12.1 and my newly installed 13.0 Appliance?

  5. Hi,

I configured Citrix Gateway + Native OTP for 2Factor authentication using Google authenticator. After enrolling my device, I tried to logon as a user. My issue was after login, I have encountered this error "Cannot Complete your request".

I tried to remove the authentication profile on my Citrix gateway virtual server and try to do a normal login (user+pass) and I didn't encounter any issues. But when I bind the authentication profile, the same issue was encountered.

My Citrix ADC is 13.0 release 67.39 for XenServer

How can i solve this issue with native otp? Do you guys encounter this issue?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

if you're 100% sure that hostID is correct one - check in GUI or within shell (lmutil lmhostid), you might have installed expired license file. Check if the date is correct on NS and also check /var/log/license.log. You can paste license.log here

    Hi,

I also installed the latest Citrix ADC VPX release on Hyper-V and it all went well with regards to license. I'm just wondering what seems to be the problem on my Citrix ADC installed on Citrix Hypervisor.

  8. Hi

I have installed the latest Citrix ADC VPX 13 release on Citrix Hypervisor and the installation went well.

My issue is with regards to my license. I allocated the license along with the hostid on my citrix account. The problem is after i allocate the license on citrix adc vpx, after reboot it says my license is still freemium even the hostid and license are correct.

Do you guys encounter this issue? By the way this is a partner license.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

The 2nd screenshot shows (Freemium) which means no license found.

Are you sure the license has been assigned correctly with the Mac Address?

    Thanks

    Arnaud

    Hi,

Im sure with it cause i only copy paste the hostid. Any reason why is it like this?

  10. Hi

I have a question regarding Citrix Gateway enterprise VPX. I downloaded a Citrix Gateway VPX 13.0 and already allocated a Citrix Gateway enterprise VPX license as you can see on my screenshot below.

    image.thumb.png.902e84ba7ebc2be01600ea51319eafea.png

When i install the license on Citrix Gateway 13.0 and reboot, my license didn't work. As you can see below the license type is express and i don't have the feature "NetScaler Gateway" for ica proxy

    image.thumb.png.d3ad60259b9637f44fc67c83d7e83a97.png

    What's the problem/solution here?

  11. Hi

We had configure Citrix Virtual apps and desktops on Microsoft Azure successfully. Our problem is in the Citrix ADC also hosted in azure. After a successful log in to my Citrix gatway FQDN, we got an error Http/1.1 Internal Server Error 43531. We're wondering why was this happening?

  12. Hi Rhonda,

Thanks for your inputs. I'm just having an confusion regarding the external DNS and internal DNS servers.

The external DNS servers associated with the 2 Public IP address (Lets assume this is public ip: 10.10.178.77 & 10.10.178.78) will resolve to my Load balancing virtual server. And my Internal DNS load balancing virtual server will resolve to my GSLB FQDN which is support.example.com? Am i correct?

    Thank you.

  13. Hi

I just want to check if my understanding is right. I'm planning to implement GSLB on my Citrix ADC and use DNS proxy aside from Citrix ADC as the ADNS.

Based on my understanding on the below image, i will have a DNS load balancing virtual server IP address that is NAT to a public ip address. So meaning i have 1 Public IP address for each data center that is resolvable using 1 domain (example.com)? So i need to create A record on the external DNS.

1 DNS = 2 public IP (for 2 data centers)

After that, i was wondering where did the 10.217.146.40 / 10.217.146.45 (image below) comes from? Is this the Load balancing virtual server of my backend servers resolved by the internal DNS servers?

Please correct me if i am wrong.

    Thank you.

  14. Hi

I just want to ask a newbie questions regarding GSLB setup because i will soon implementing GSLB on our organization.

How many IP addresses do i need?

    1. I read some articles and i saw a video creating GSLB sites. There is Site IP address and Public IP address? What is the use of this IP and what do i need to use? a private/public IP address?

    2. What IP address type do i need to configure ADNS service? a private NAT'd IP address?

I understand that i need a 1 Public DNS Record resolving to the 2 Public IP address of my Data center. Does the public ip address the same as my ADNS IP Address?

Thank you guys. Hope get answered.

  15. Hi,

I just want to ask where to position Citrix ADC MPX on our network? I'm planning to to use One arm mode so not all traffic will pass through the NetScaler but i'm confuse on where do i attached the Citrix appliance. Is it on the router or switch (layer 2 or 3?) or Firewall? Can you guys give me idea on your current setup? Is it also depends on the feature that will be utilized?

    Thank you.

  16. Hi guys,

I have 3 domains setup in our citrix environment.  The first 2 domains are working properly.  I added the 3rd domain just recently. The user is authenicated in Citrix Gateway but when he clicks an app or desktop, the username that is passed on to the server is incorrect.

I followed the settings of the 2nd domain. The 2nd and 3rd domain has 2-way trust relationship to the 1st domain. The only difference between the 2nd and 3rd domain is that the 3rd domain has a non-routable domain name - domain.local

Can you guys help to resolve this issue? Does the non-routable Doman name is the issue?

    Hi,

What is reason you want to setup like load balancing, DR site, High availability  etc

Please check few docs below  of GSLB

    Hi,

Thank you for this. This is for a DR Site. I am wondering How many IP's do i need to configure this?

Hello, Hope you are well !!

I don't think there is any option to push/migrate on-prem appliances to AZURE. Cloud based VPX appliances are specially designed to fit as per network standards & architecture of cloud infrastructure. So you should consider building a new one there as per your requirement. For licensing, You have an option to use your existing licenses under BYOL category so just need to pay for run cost depending on sizing of you instances.

Important to know that not all features are available at this time so you should consult documentation.

Reference Design NetScaler and Microsoft Azure

If you have any questions, plz write back.

    Thanks

    Vipin

    Hi Vipin,

I'm planning to implement a load balancing and WAF using Citrix ADC on Azure. Based on the link you sent, Load balancing is available. Is WAF also available?

  19. Hi

I have an existing on premise Citrix Adc vpx. My question is, can i migrate the on oremise ADC with my license to azure? Or do i need to build a new ADC  on azure and get the license from my on prem adc?

2nd question, my exisiting vpx used web app firewall. Can i still used the web app firewall in azure when i migrated/created my adc on azure?

  20. Hi

It is possible to customize the Citrix gateway ports right? like https://<FQDN>:123 instead of port 443

We configured Citrix gateway with customize ports and enable it on the firewall but we can't access it using our browser? What seems to be the problem?

    Thanks.
