Citrix MCS attached disk

I saw the Citrix documentation (https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/install-configure/machine-catalogs-create.html) stating that the disks attached in the template are not created when we create new machines via MCS. But has anyone managed to get around this issue in some other way?

If you enable MCS I/O with a cache disk, then it should create a disk for each VM.

Carl, I enabled MCSIO on the master image, and created a new VDI from it, but the attached disk was not created. I'm creating static machines and I need it to have a separate disk for data storage, is this possible?

When you create a non-persistent Catalog, it asks you for MCS IO Memory size and Disk size. Enable the disk in that screen. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/install-configure/machine-catalogs-create.html#machine-creation-services-mcs-storage-optimization
