Upgrading VPX Instance using Citrix ADM

Hi All,

 

We currently have 2 x SDX ADC Appliances running in Active / Standby (HA pair) , each has a test and prod vpx (HA)  instance.

 

Has anyone attempted upgrading a VPX instance in HA pair using the Citrix ADM upgrade scheduler ?

 

I am looking to upgrade our TEST VPX instances in HA pair from 13.0.83.27 to 13.0.88.12 and wanted to know :-

 

1. How well it works

2. How long the process takes

3. What the roll back process would be to revert back to pervious image if it failed ?

4. If there are any known issues.

1. How well it works

Works fine in our environment, test, acceptance and production. Used it several times.

2. How long the process takes

Around 15-30 minutes per pair

3. What the roll back process would be to revert back to pervious image if it failed ?

Just run the same job, but with the previous firmware version

4. If there are any known issues.

We are having issues with 13.0 88.12, after upgrade HA is flapping after a forced sync, raised a support case for this
