I'm disappointed to hear that the VMware Horizon connector is being deprecated. As I understand, it is just the vSphere connector with the added benefit of taking the snapshot automatically. We've been using it for some time, and have found this functionality very convenient. I hope that Citrix will reconsider deprecating this feature, or add it as an option on the vSphere connector.
