Upgrading from 1912LTSR to version 2009

Hi,

 

I'm managing a Citrix 1912LTSR environment with VDI's running on ESXi 6.5. I want to move the VDI's to a VMware 7.0 environment, but provisioning on this VMware ESXi version is only supported from Citrix version 2009.

 

Can i upgrade directly from 1912LTSR to 2009?

 

I have some old Win2k8 published app servers running VDA version 7.15. Will they still work when i upgrade the rest of the servers to version 2009?

I believe the next CU for 1912 LTSR may change the support statements for 7.0 of vSphere

 

if you move to 2009 - yes you can in place upgrade, and yes 7.15 VDA's should still work fine

Thnks for the info. I can't find any info about 1912 CU2. Is this CU going to be released soon? We run CU1 now and VMware 7 is not supported. Or more specific, provisioning VDI's does not work on the VMware 7 platform.

none that I can share publicly - if your plan is Update 1 for vSphere 7.0, it will be a moot point anyway - but if just 7.0 then there is some light
