Hello, I would like implement audio features in our xenapp 6.5 infrastructure.

I know that audio feature is enable by default but for some strange cause in our setup it doesen't work neither in windows client nor in linux client.

So for testing I enable by policy following settings:

COMPUTER:

-Multimedia Video

-Multimedia Conferencing

-WIndows Media Redirection

 

USER:

-Audio Plug n play

-Audio quality = medium

-Client Audio Redirection

-Client Microphone redirection

-Multi-Stream

 

Then I publish a desktop with "Enable legacy audio" leave unchecked.

 

I think that problem is locate into servers config, because i try more and different thin and fat client from windows (10) to linux client and the problem is the same on all client.

Any suggest?

How are you testing audio? Just the windows logon sound?

Does it work with RDP?

1) Problem is that louspeaker is redcrossed and ctx tell me that there is "no audio device is installed"...

2)In RDP work....

I think there has to be a policy somewhere that disables sound in your Citrix session

Yes sure this is what I guess but where ?

How can i troubleshoot ?

On the policies, it depends, are they stored in Citrix Appcenter or GPO?

Uploaded my HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32\Terminal Server\ICA node

it's a 64bit. This is the same on the doc.

 

I am pretty sure that citrix  Policies are stored in appcenter.

I checked and it used only the policy in the appcenter.

Should I use the gpo also?

If yes which policy should I have to set?

Or there is something else that I can check?

Don't mix and match GPO's and Appcenter.

 

It still sounds like something in the policy is not ok, maybe check with the undefined policy first?
