Dedicated HKLM value for user session

hi all,

i need to have value in REG HKLM that is different for every session. Each user needs to have client name in HKLM\software\clientname. as HKLM is share between sessions, how can i isolate it?

Hi,

 

Either:

 

Create a Microsoft App-V package with the only purpose to hold the registry key value and then launch the application inside that package. The app sees only the per-user value (here). You might need to allow the user full access on the VFS on the package properties (requires App-V 5.1). App-V licenses are included in your RDS User CALs.

 

Or:

 

Create a VirtualRegistry Shim using the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit redirecting the r/w of the registry key to a HKCU location (here)

this is slimier requirement we have. 

 

We need to pass the client machine value to the user session so we are using in house product I am not sure if you can do it via Citrix.
