Migrate licensing model to Multi-type licensing model

We are looking to change our licensing model to Multi-type licensing model (e.g. mix of 200x User Device licenses and 20x Concurrent licenses). How difficult would that be to configure? Is it as simple as buying the required Licensing and then configuring each Delivery group (using PowerShell) to the required License type? Any pointers, experience or documents shared will be helpful.
