  1. We have Citrix application slow launch issue for the last 20 days all of sudden with applications hosted on Windows 2016 servers. For most of them it just stuck at usrlogon.cmd window, even if they close the window also it takes almost an hour to launch application and for some of them application loads immediately after they closed usrlogon.cmd window. I could see only KB5018411 was applied on our Citrix servers during that time. Couldn't find anything substantial to confirm that this patch was causing the issue. Application launches fine after clearing user's profile , but this has been creating too much noise in our environment.  We have XA 7.19 LTSR CU3 . Anyone have any idea about this?

  2. We have SQL Developer version 21.4 is published as application in our XenApp 7.19 LTSR infra. Local drive mapping isn't working only with SQL dev. However on the same Citrix server with other applications local drive mapping works fine.  When i googled about this issue, I could see couple of discussions related to this issue in Oracle forum but without any workaround or Solution. Anyone know what is the workaround or Fix for this issue?

  4. We have Office 2019 installed in Citrix servers(Win2k19 XA7.19LTSR). Users are accessing Excel files available in OneDrive(Available through Client drive mapping). Excel file has shared workbook function enabled, it throws read-only and its being used by another user error when the 2nd user tried to open it . It allows only one user at a time to edit it.

From local machine, Multiple users can use same excel file simultaneously and update it too. I believe its because local machine has O365 installed , both excel & OneDrive connects with O365 account in this case, so syncing works properly. Correct me if i am wrong here.

However in the case of Citrix server, This simultaneously usage isn't working. Is there way around to make this work?

Note: Due to some security restrictions in our organization, O365 installation isn't allowed on Citrix servers. That's why we have Office 2019 running on our servers.

You have Windows Roaming Profile configured, too? UPM is intended as a replacement for Roaming Profiles. Use just one or the other. Also, when using UPM, Windows will always see it as a local profile; this is normal.

    Sorry for very late response.

As you rightly pointed out, Issue was the antivirus exclusion. Found the affected servers were out of antivirus exclusion list. I was in an impression that these servers were part of it, because when a new Citrix server is deployed in our organization, it will be automatically put in Citrix container in AV.

    Thank you

  6. Sorry for responding very late.

I have removed roaming profile from User's AD object. Now we have only UPM, Still it fails to load the application or else takes almost 5 minutes to launch the application.

UPM Log files entries show no issues, Pls see the logs below.

  7. We have VDA 1912 LTSR CU3 Windows 2016 as OS, But we are experiencing disconnected sessions not logging off even though logoff disconnect session timer policy configured in the policies.

I could see from the above discussions, some of you mentioned rolling back from CU4 to CU3 fixed it. We are still on CU3, still experiencing this issue. Please let me know if anyone know the solution to overcome this

  10. We have XenApp 7.19 LTSR CU3 on Windows 2016 server with Citrix UPM. Recently we are seeing odd behavior's like when user launches any application , in workspace window it loads till loading Citrix user profile and goes off . At times it loads fully till launch application as shown in attached screenshot and nothing happens. Sometimes it takes 3-5 minutes to load application. But if i stop Citrix profile management service on VDA servers when we encounter this issue, it launches the application fine. UPM is hosted in NAS filer.

Also when I check the system profiles list under system properties as shown in screenshot below. I see mostly local profiles not roaming profiles.

was it because of timeout issue between Citrix UPM & VDA server?

Can someone help me to identify why its happening like this?
