  1. We have servers (created with MCS - hosted in Azure - Agent version: 2308.0.0.120) that randomly got unregistered with Citrix Cloud. The server is pingable, but an RDP session can't be made.

When disabling and enabling the ethernet interface with serial console on the virtual machines management page in Azure, the server got registered again.

In the event viewer I can't find what can be the cause of this.

Are there any other ways to find what is causing the server to lose connection? Or (even better) is there a solution for this issue?

  2. We are facing this same issue after updating the VDA to version 2212.

It seems that the proces of the virus scanner is staying active, when the users closed the (last) published application. This makes the users session stay active, until the time limit for idle\disconnected session kicks in. This is set for us (on both settings) to 3 hours, and Citrix recommended to set this to a lower value, but that is not what we want.

Even after the update the icon for the virus scanner is showing in the system tray, that is also a behavior we have never seen before...

The option for Gracefull logoff (https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX891671/graceful-logoff-from-a-published-application-renders-the-session-in-active-state) has been set for the virus scanner process, but that doesn't help.

  3. We noticed that the of some users the avatar logo in the Workspace app\logo shows the wrong letter of the first name of the user.

For example: we have a user with the first name Jackie and the avatar shows the letter F instead of the letter J and another user with first name Eileen even has the number 4 in her avatar and not the E.

Both users their ObjectID in AzureAD starts with F\4, so my guess is that the wrong attribute is being used for these users.

How can we make sure that the correct letter is showing in the Avatar of Workspace?

  4. Hi Ken,

The environment is build by me and now I am trying to support it ?

Today, however, I am able to start an application without getting an error like user name or password is incorrect. My test user still get this error though.

The entry to start an Citrix application is the Citrix Cloud portal where the user signs in with their Azure AD account.

Because there is no SSO when the user starts an application, there is where FAS is needed.

With the move to Citrix Cloud, there are no on-premise NetScaler, Delivery controller and StoreFront servers needed anymore .

The following sites I have been using to configure FAS:

    https://www.jasonsamuel.com/2019/07/02/how-to-use-citrix-cloud-enabled-federated-authentication-service-fas-with-microsoft-azure-ad-and-citrix-workspace-for-full-windows-password-less-single-sign-on-to-virtual-desktops-and-apps/

    https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/federated-authentication-service/install-configure.html

  5. We are testing Citrix Cloud and set up Azure AD authentication and to make starting an published application as smooth as possible, FAS has been set up. This worked perfectly for one day...

Starting an applications now gives: The user name or password is incorrect or a message The request is not supported.

Anyone knows what might be causing this? And how to resolve it?

  6. The update CWA 2206 is (automatically) installed on my laptop as well and the scaling is completely messed up now. The mouse pointer is on a completely different place on the screen than were it supposed to be...

My "local" environment: Windows 11, with three screens (one laptop screen, two Dell U2723QE (4k) screens) with the laptop on 100% scaling and 1920x1080 resolution and both the external monitors on 150% and resolution of 3840x2160. But even with all monitors on the same scaling, the Citrix scaling fails.

My Citrix environment: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2206, starting Virtual apps.

Any suggestion on how to get things working with the latest version? I also went back to CWA 2205
