XenCenter error message 'HVM is required for this operation'

Question

Hi,

I'm very new to think client setups and was following the instructions on this thread (http://support.citrix.com/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=187&threadID=104712&messageID=749499&start=0򶾻) to set up a POC. When I attempt to create an XPP or ubuntu VM I get the following error message when starting the VM:

VM could not be started on any host for the following reasons:
xenserver-lvsradup HVM is required for this operation

and this entry in the log:

15/07/2008 16:22:07 Error: Starting VM 'Windows XP SP2 (1)' - There were no hosts available to complete the specified operation.

Has anyone seen this before?

Tom

I can't seem to find anything relating to VT/Virtualisation in the BIOS so I'm assuming that the processors (Opteron 875's) and or the servers are not capable of running the XenServer.

Please someone correct me if this is not the case!

(I have also sent a support request to HP to confirm this)

Many thanks,

Tom
