Integrate Citrix VDA into existing application

I am completely new in the fields of VDA/Citrix, on both user/features aspects, so expect dummy questions from my side :)

As far as I know, VDAs can be accessed from the Citrix Workspace App on the user machine (PC, mobile etc).

1. Is there a way to programmatically open these apps from another application?

2. Is there a way to integrate a VDA (.net application which is virtualized in citrix VDI) into another custom application. In our case, would be a Windows WPF app developed in .NET/C#? By integrate I refer to showing the virtual app (hosted in Citrix VDI) inside our application....
