Long time Citrix admin here. I have been experimenting with an on-premise Windows Server 2022 RDS host with CVAD LTSR 2203cu4u1 for an upgrade and have found something rather unexpected. Items in the registry Run keys (HKLM specifically) are launching for seamless apps. All my experience prior has been that those Run key items, as well as ActiveSetup, only run when using the published Desktop. That has been my experience for as long as I can recall.
When did that start happening? and are there any policies to revert back to the classical behavior where that stuff does not run unless the Desktop is launched?
