Adrian Gherasim
We are currently using citrix.adm (part of citrix.adc) Ansible module to deploy Stylebooks and Configpacks to ADM From what I see at https://github.com/netscaler/ansible-collection-netscaleradc is that citrix.adc Ansible collection is replaced with the new netscaler.adc ansible collection, and citrix.adc collection will be deprecated soon, and will not be maintained further and it’s recommended to migrate to the netscaler.adc collection, but netscaler.adc don’t have netscaler.adm, and it looks like the new approach is to consolidate ADC and ADM in the same collection and support configuring ADC with ADM as proxy (https://docs.netscaler.com/en-us/netscaler-application-delivery-management-software/current-release/adm-as-api-proxy-server.html) but deployment with ADM as a proxy will leave no trace on the ADM about the configuration change made to ADC - It is different approach then having configuration deployed via stylebooks where we can see the configuration on the ADM in a form of a Configpack, either way, the “Support configuring ADC with ADM as proxy” is currently a feature request https://github.com/netscaler/ansible-collection-netscaleradc/issues/308 I’m kindly asking, because we really don’t want to start using a code that will be deprecated soon, and will not be maintained further, when the “Support configuring ADC with ADM as proxy” will be part of the new netscaler.adc version 2 and since the direction of ansible collection is to configure ADC only (directly or indirectly), it may be that Citrix is dropping stylebooks? Kindy also asking, what is the supported Netscaler approach to deploy stylebooks via ADM? Maybe we should drop ansible completely and work with API directly, or maybe there is an Terraform module to be released for that?
