Encounter the maximum concurrent limit reached issue when making API request to Citrix Cloud Portal.

Santosh Anabathula

Question

We observed each time when we make an API request,  encounter the maximum concurrent limit reached issue for clients having more than thousand desktops and sessions. We have attempted to pinpoint the precise moment of failure. however, it appears to occur randomly accompanied by an error code 429 indicating that the maximum limit has been reached.

Please find the API links that we are using.

Session API we used with pagination filter applied : https://api-ap-s.cloud.com/monitorodata/Sessions

Machine API we used with pagination filter applied  : https://api-ap-s.cloud.com/monitorodata/Machines

Please find the attachment of the screen shot of the error.

By any chance, multiple scripts are running to fetch the data. We support only one call at any given point in time to fetch data from monitorodata endpoint. The rate limiting details are mentioned at https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/accessing-monitor-service-data-citrix-cloud-external/accessing-monitor-service-data-citrix-cloud-external#prerequisites-to-access-citrix-monitor-service-data-using-the-odata-v4-endpoint-in-citrix-cloud
