Bot Management for Gateway vServer

possible to use bot management on a gateway vserver? 

any indication on what kind of overhead this produces to turn on? 

I'm running older models MPX5550

There is a complex but limited WAF integration option for Gateway that includes bot and iprep protection.

 

Requires specific builds of 12.1 and 13.0 or later to implement.  The hardware model isn't really the problem, the trick is your license edition and if it includes appfw/iprep/bot protection features along with gateway or not.  And ADC/NS Premium license will likely include these components. Standard/Advanced may not. Gateway only licenses would not.
