Corey Stewart
Can WEM be used to apply permissions on folders and registry entries? We are just getting started with it and ae currently only using it to prevent CPU spiking and some app CPU clamping. The question stems from this Autodesk KB article. https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/What-user-permissions-does-AutoCAD-require.html If WEM can do this, it would seem to be the best solution, rather than trying to set more broad permissions within the App Layer itself. 0 Jeff Riechers
Nothing directly. You could create a scripted permissions file, and execute that as an external task. Link to comment
0 James Kindon
WEM would fail to set permissions via an external task as it executes in the user context. You would be best suited to using a traditional GPO and alter the permissions on the directory via that method - tried, proven, easy to track back through https://www.lepide.com/how-to/assign-permissions-to-files-folders-through-group-policy.html Link to comment
