App Protection Component Windows 11 22H2 seems not installed

Gregor Spuhler

Question

Hi Community,

I tried to install Citrix Workspace on my new Surface Pro 9 SQ 3 Windows 11 22H2 and have a problem to install the "App Protection component" altought I tick ON the activation box on the "App Protection component" window. Installation looks fine, but every time when restarting Citrix Workspace I am asked by Workspace App to install the App Protection component again.

It is inexplicable to me why the Protection App is not permanently installed and can be used. Actually Citrix Workspace does not work on my very new Notbook.

I hope somebody can help to find a solution for the installation.

Thanks and best regards.

Greg

Just found this article from citrix webpage.  @Gregor Spuhler I tried to use it but unfortunately it did not work to me (Surface Pro 9 ARM). If you have chance to test it and let me know. Thank you in advance.

Citrix is committed to offering a frictionless and unified Citrix Workspace experience to users on any device. We are happy to announce that Citrix Workspace app for Windows now runs in an emulator mode on ARM64 devices, including the Microsoft Surface Pro X. Now, ARM64 device users can get a powerful digital workspace solution that provides the flexibility and freedom they need, and organizations gain the benefit of centralized management to deliver a superior employee experience.

This capability is currently being offered on an experimental basis with the Citrix Workspace app for Windows available both on the Citrix Downloads page and via the Microsoft Store.

After several research, I found out that ARM processor machines will work with the Microsoft Store version BUT the Microsoft Store version does not support App Protection feature.

We do not have a full Citrix Workspace App implementation which works completely in ARM processor machines.

It is very sad since people are struggling with it since 2020:
