MBi
Hello, When starting ctxvda I get this error : citrix-ctxreg[1262]: Failed to connect with logd In the doc I can read : The ctxlogd daemon fails and you cannot restart the ctxlogd service when the /var/xdl/.ctxlog file is missing (for example, accidentally deleted). The .ctxlog file is existing. I can also read : To solve this issue, run setlog as a root user to recreate the /var/xdl/.ctxlog file. Then restart the ctxlogd service on which other services depend. How to use setlog to recreate this file ? Is there another cause of this issue ? Thanks you. Link to comment

0 Jeff Riechers
This command is supposed to create the file, then manually running setlog as root should work. sudo /opt/Citrix/VDA/bin/setlog If that process above doesn't create the file, then try the following sudo touch /var/xdl/.ctxlog Then reboot the machine. That should create the log file. Link to comment
0 MBi
The problem is solved after using VDA 2301. Link to comment

Hello,
When starting ctxvda I get this error :
citrix-ctxreg[1262]: Failed to connect with logd
In the doc I can read :
The ctxlogd daemon fails and you cannot restart the ctxlogd service when the /var/xdl/.ctxlog file is missing (for example, accidentally deleted).
The .ctxlog file is existing.
I can also read :
To solve this issue, run setlog as a root user to recreate the /var/xdl/.ctxlog file. Then restart the ctxlogd service on which other services depend.
How to use setlog to recreate this file ?
Is there another cause of this issue ?
Thanks you.
