Office 365 shared computer ( Server 2019 , VDA 2203 LTSR CU2 )  activation doesn’t work

Obaid Latif

Question

Office 365 shared computer ( Server 2019 , VDA 2203 LTSR CU2 )  activation doesn’t work when running as a published app, shared computer license is not available, although shared regkey is configured & verified in registry ( <Property Name="SharedComputerLicensing" Value="1" /> ) under registry ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration > SharedComputerLicensing > value set as 1 ). This is only while launching published app via citrix, when I use RDP to the same server, no issues with licensing, Office applications seems to get the required license files needed for activation. Any suggestions will be much appreciated ...

Be aware, we have been testing with the ShellBridge solution and have found it does not end a session after the published app is closed. We have been working with support for a few months with little progress beyond acknowledging the issue.

Thanks Darryl for letting me know, hopefully it will be resolved some time soon.
