Log User Details like Workspace Version (Desktop vs HTML5)

We have been using DaaS, to host application. In the application I want to collect user's session information about whether they are using the Desktop based Workspace App or the HTML 5 version, Also the version of the Apps they have been using for debugging purposes.

How can this be possible, implicitly as soon as someone starts a session?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\Ica\Session\ on the VDA contains client info, like client version and client name. This data might let you determine which kind of client is being used.

Would it be possible for me to add that logging information thru the application itself, so that I can automate the process? Instead of going thru the machine and checking the registry values manually?

We have a .net based application.
