Workspace App Authentication from outside the domain

"unable to add account with the given server URL. Ensure that it is correct or enter your email address" error which accessing the portal using Workspace App.

the login works fine from html. also the access to portal works fine from workspace app if access from the same domain.

Was the external URL also claimed? as part of Global App Configuration Service?

Sorry Dear.. I am a little new to this. how do I check? Just to add more info, I recently changed the SSL certs for DC, SF and VDA.. also the portal exposed via Citrix Gateway

Check if you can open the URL in the browser without any certificate errors or warnings.

I can open the URL without any certificate warnings. I can Access the apps from the URL without any issues. I had warning before but I updated the SSL certs for the Citrix Gateway URL and its OK now.

Also as I mentioned the Workspace App works fine from servers in same domain as the SF, DC etc.. but when I access from outside using Citrix Gateway using worskspace app it fails.
