HDX Segmentation fault when in a wayland session

Guilherme Cardoso

While in fully updated Fedora Core 36 Wayland session, citrix has a segmentation fault when trying to access webcam:

❯ lsb_release -a
LSB Version:    :core-4.1-amd64:core-4.1-noarch
Distributor ID: Fedora
Description:    Fedora release 36 (Thirty Six)
Release:        36
Codename:       ThirtySix

Stacktrace attached: citrix.txt

(HdxRtcEngine:82634): Gtk-WARNING **: 09:22:13.280: GtkPlug only works under X11 2

(HdxRtcEngine:82634): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: 09:22:13.280: invalid cast from 'GdkWaylandDisplay' to 'GdkX11Display' 3Oct 27 10:22:13 fedora-workstation kernel: webrpc-dispatch[82642]: segfault at 7f8e0000007b ip 00007f8a01c2472f sp 00007f89de035e10 error 4 in libgdk-3.so.0.2404.30[7f8a01bc2000+89000]

This does not happen in a X11 session.

Wayland is now default for some time both for Gnome and Plasma sessions.

When something tries to access the webcam, both audio and video stop to work.

If the use case only required audio the audio works as expected.

To restore the audio a new session must be opened.
