Matthias Frei
Hi there, i read a lot about CPU-Pools and Numa awareness. Our Server has 4 Numa-Nodes, but only one CPU-Pool is created by Xenserver. With xl vcpu-list i see that vcpus are changing cpu every second, no consideration on numa. I know about numa-split command and migrate VM's to pools created by this command. But VM's always starts at pool0 after restart. Is there a way to change config permanently? Thanks a lot Matthias Link to comment
0 Tobias Kreidl
You can pin VMs to specific CPU cores, would be one option. Just 4 NUM nodes is very small. The order in which you start VMs is also important. Google my articles and others on XenServer and NUMA for some additional information. -=Tobias Link to comment
