Citrix Workspace App 2204 on App Layering

Has anyone installed Citrix Workspace App in an App Layer since the WebView2 requirement?

 

Installing for Server 2019. No Edge there so not sure what the requirement is for. Regardless, should the Edge WebView2 Runtime go in the OS layer so it can get patched? I plan to install a fixed version rather than the evergreen version.

 

It also requires an update to C++ which I will place in the OS Layer.

 

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

This was a little more complicated than expected. This is where I ended up. Please share any thoughts.

 

I downloaded the Evergreen Standalone Installer from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/ and installed that in the App Layer along with the CWA.

 

I also downloaded the AD Policy Admin Templates for Edge from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download and installed them in the App Layer. I Enabled Computer/Administrative Templates/Microsoft Edge Update/Microsoft Edge WebView/‘Update policy override’ and set it to ‘Updates disabled’. This disables the Evergreen updates to WebView. We will handle those manually in the App Layer as required.

 

CWA was then installed successfully.
