Citrix HDX Engine has stopped working - MediaEngineService.exe keeps crashing

Hi,

 

I'm desperate. Nothing seems to help. I've spent too many hours reading on this support forum and now I give up. Here's the error message:

 

Citrix HDX Engine has stopped working

It happens only when Skype is being started. I tried many different versions of Citrix Workspace App, Receiver and the HDX Plugin, but to no avail. OS is Windows 7. Can someone tell me, what's going on?
