Installing WSL2 in Windows 10 VM running on Hypervisor 8

Hi

I have a Windows 10 VM running on Hypervisor 8 and after running: wsl --install in PowerShell, which apparently is the only command necessary now, I get this error in the launched Ubuntu console:

 

Error: 0x80370102 The virtual machine could not be started because a required feature is not installed.

 

Is this a nested virtualisation issue? Is WSL2 supported running in a VM on Hypervisor?

 

Any help much appreciated.

WSL probably won't run nested, seems like I have read that somewhere.

Thanks Alan. I assume this is the case. I have given up and will prepare a physical machine.
