shocko
According to the guide meeting backgrounds/blurring are not supported. Furthermore, they option to use them is not even available in the integration from testing. It's marked as a Microsoft limitation. is there any roadmap to support this? Link to comment

We can share more details under NDA. This is the #1 request from customers ? If Teams is optimized, this feature is not supported. If you run Teams unoptimized, then it is available but your VDA CPU will spike to the roof. 2 Link to comment

No. Teams 2.0 is refactoring the UI to React, but when optimized, the media engine is still based on WebRTC which is at par with the Teams feature-set in BROWSERS. 1 Link to comment

0 DanielViklund
Okay, I thought the new version will be based on the same code as the web version. So this means that Teams on virtual environment will lack features for many years more than, as all limitation is always on MS side. Skype worked better if you ask me, when it use the local agent.. 0 willi weikum
BG blurring/BG effects are rolling out in our teams tenant now - CWA 2207 is pre-requisite.. Link to comment
0 willi weikum
BG blurring and BG effects work now. blurring always works. Only pre-defined BG effects available - endpoint need internet access (presumably to load the BG pictures from somewhere). It is still possible to save own picture to the endpoint and configure with registry keys (as introduced with 2206) in this case user has no way to change/remove the picture: Location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Citrix\HDXMediaStream Name: VideoBackgroundEffect Type: DWORD Value: 0 (disabled), 1 (enabled), 2 (background image replacement, which requires the VideoBackgroundImage key to be present as well) The following key is required only if you want to replace the background image and not for blurring: Name: VideoBackgroundImage Type: REG_SZ Value: my_image_name.jpeg NOTE: The file name, for example, my_image_name.jpg (or name you provide for the file) must be placed in the user’s device, Citrix Workspace app install directory, C:\Program Files\(x86)\Citrix\ICA Client.
