Latency When Creating Files and Folders

Paul Primeau

Question

We are having issues with Mapped drives that I believe are related to Citrix VA.

Here is my profile:

Windows 2019 Server

VDA Version 1912.0.2000.2345

  • In File Manager when you create a folder on a mapped drive or redirected folder, it does not immediately refresh. There is a lag in viewing the document/folder.
  • If a user creates a folder and it gets the name "New Folder", they won't see it.
  • If they create a second one, they won't see it.
  • When users refresh, you find out that you've created New Folder, New Folder (2), New Folder (3), ....etc...and so forth.

This behavior does not exist if you were to login to the console or RDP session of the server itself and I have checked our File Server, there are no overall performance issues.  It is not taxed in any way.

Has anyone run into this?

This also fixed my issue.  Thanks.

•    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Citrix\wfshell\TWI
•    Create a new DWORD called SeamlessFlags
•    Set the value to 2000 (Hexadecimal)
