Change Guest Hostname on while provisioning live

Is there an xe command that will inject the hostname to the guest when it is being provisioned?

I can write a powershell or bash script but would preferer xe command.

Hi Sean,

Unfortunately there is no direct way for xe (or the Hypervisor) to inject a hostname into VMs.

VMs operate mostly independently from the host.
However, where the guest gets its network configuration via DHCP, you can have the DHCP server provide a static name: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc1533#section-3.14
