Xen Center for Mac and VM management

Hi,

 

I recently installed a new Citrix Hyperviror on a new server, but in the office there are only Mac computers.

The only way to connect to the VM (running Windows10)  is via VNC but to get connect to the server is to use "xsconsole" via terminal; this is really tricky for not IT people and also I can't manage in a easy way the VM's (for instance, to shutdown and restart a VM).

Is there a better way to let the users to get connected to the Windows VM and onverall, is there something similar to XenCenter for Mac?

There is no other XenCenter versions. What you could do is spin up a Windows 10 VM and install XenCenter on the VM and let people

RDP to access XenCenter.

well, in this case,  a parallel desktop with W10 could be easier, but it's what I'm removing from these Mac (parallel desktop).

I'm wondering if there is a script to just power on/off the VM from terminal

You can always use the CLI to do shell-based operations, which of anything, form a superset of what options are available via the XenXenter GUI.

Lots of things can be readily scripted either with APIs or just through a shell script running xe commands.

Its a shame but Citrix seems to be getting more and more out of alignment from MacOS.
