We have a setup that involves a Chromebox with Citrix Workspace App (latest version) in Kiosk mode. Our Citrix environment has Citrix PDF Printer in order to allow local printing on Chromebox by sending the PDF to the Chromebox and allow for native local printing through USB. This all works fine if we DISABLE the USB virtual channel via Google Admin Policy:
However, if we leave the USB (redirection) virtual channel enabled - which we do require for our desired end-state - , local printing does show a printing dialog but when attempting to press "PRINT" to start the actual local print command, the printing function does not work. There are no error messages shown.
It is difficult to have a log file of the situation since the Kiosk mode barely allows any debugging.
This bug should be fairly easy to reproduce on any environment involving a Chromebox with Citrix Workspace App as Kiosk app including the above mentioned policy. Then attempt to print a document using the Citrix PDF Printer driver and it should be noticable that printing to a locally attached USB printer is not possible.

Hello,
We have a setup that involves a Chromebox with Citrix Workspace App (latest version) in Kiosk mode. Our Citrix environment has Citrix PDF Printer in order to allow local printing on Chromebox by sending the PDF to the Chromebox and allow for native local printing through USB. This all works fine if we DISABLE the USB virtual channel via Google Admin Policy:
{ "settings": { "Value": { "settings_version": "1.0", "engine_settings": { "vc_channel": { "CTXGUSB": false } } } } }
Any clues as how to proceed?
Regards,
Bart
