Is there a way to present a Non Persistent MCS delivered Ubuntu desktop that users can make some changes to (installing apps) but still allow updates to the core (Gold) image that can then be pushed out.
Currently we have a small number of Persistent Ubuntu desktops assigned one on one to each user. We would like the flexibility to be able to apply updates to the gold image template and distribute it to all the desktops in the catalog. In the past a non persistent desktop with a personal vDisk might have been the answer but thats no longer an option. Also the new User Personalization Layer is only for Windows.

Is there an option to get what we want?
