Elastic Layer Failed on servers after upgrade to 2008 ELM

After upgrading to 2009 elastic applications on server VDA works only first time logon. If i logoff and try to logon again the servers hang and i have to hard reboot from hypervisor Vsphere. I have this issue on Windows 2016 and Windows 2019. If i use an image template with 2003 agent layer it works.

What errors do you see, if any? Which client are you using for the sessions? Are you using User Layers or only Elastic Layer to attach the app layers?

At first logon, there is no problem my elastic layer are present and working. If i logoff and logon again on my server the server hangs. I have to reboot it from my hypervisor. And it's work again the first time only. It's a problem for elastic applications on servers .

I suggest you open a case with our support staff. They will need access to the below data to assist you.

- C:\ProgramData\Unidesk\Logs\ulayersvc.log

the case is opened.

 

For the file i can't take ulayersvc.log when it failed because the server hangs.

We may have a similar issue in 2009 build.  We upgraded from 2003 and now seeing random server hangs in 2k12 and 2k16 when using elastic layers attached.  We are also seeing multiple sessions for users (broken sessions) and eventually server fails and becomes unregistered in studio and requires a reboot.  
 

we have rolled back to a template built using the 2003 appliance and issues appear to be resolved 

 

we’ve rolled back the alliance now to 2003 and are testing builds next week.  If there are no issues with appliance 2003 then there is definitely some issue with 2009 and the way it is composing templates

The problem is with citrix universal printer driver without using it the virtual servers work great. Citrix support is still analyzing.
