Linux VDA (1912) - Ubuntu 18.04 - ctxvda wont start

Daniel Grandja1709162154

Question

I have a fresh clean install of Ubuntu 18.04 and following the Easy Install steps here:

https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/linux-virtual-delivery-agent/current-release/installation-overview/easy-install.html

I can successfully join the domain and log in as a domain user to the machine, however the ctxvda service wont start... All i see in syslog is this:

Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS systemd[1]: Started Citrix DotNet VDA Service.
Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS citrix-ctxlogd[685]: Session starting for pid 2496.
Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS citrix-ctxlogd[685]: Process 2496 has named itself "citrix-ctxreg".
Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS citrix-ctxlogd[685]: Session closing for pid 2496.
Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS systemd[1]: ctxvda.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
Sep 25 00:10:33 LV-WKS systemd[1]: ctxvda.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

enabling logging with log4j.xml and rebooting gave a little bit in jproxy.log

Other than that i have no idea where to look... this is literally a clean install with nothing but the steps followed to ensure the host name is correct and dns within nsswithch.conf is correct

Anyone have any ideas ?
