Ok, just did a fresh install of Hypervisor 8.2 and XenCenter 8.2, gave root a simple password (only alphanumeric, 8 char)
I have the XenCenter and Hypervisor on same network, no firewall rules denying services, able to ping by host name, no IP conflict
From the mgmt workstation, I can ping easily, but what seems to be the issue is that both XenCenter AND SSH (putty) will NOT take the user/password combo.
Tried from a different workstation, same issue. For the life of me I can not figure out why.. Not a good start for a eval to replace VMware...
