Error "Internal error: xenopsd internal error: More than one domain with uuid"

Andre Ferreira

Question

Hi,

I'm running a Hypervisor 8.0 Pool with 3 physical servers and multiple VMs.

One of those VMs is running on server 1. If I try to move it or start it on server 3, I get the following error:

"Failed","Starting VM 'OCS-Debian' on 'xenserver2'  Internal error: xenopsd internal error: More than one domain with uuid (bb901101-c1d7-1475-aa1c-8715039d88a6): 4, 5","xenserver2","Jul 17, 2020 12:45 PM"

On server 1 the VM runs fine. After trying the move or reboot the VM on server 3, the VM freezes completely, requiring a forced reboot.

The same operation between server 1 and server 2 works fine.

If I try to move the VM from server 2 to server 3, I get the following error:

"Failed","Migrating VM 'OCS-Debian' from 'xenserver1 - 610' to 'xenserver2' Internal error: xenopsd internal error: Xenops_migrate.Remote_failed("error from remote: Xenops_interface.Xenopsd_error([S(Already_exists);[S(extra);S(extra/bb901101-c1d7-1475-aa1c-8715039d88a6)]])")
Time: 00:00:13","xenserver2","Jul 17, 2020 1:05 PM"

There are no other VMs with the same UUID. The VM is a Debian 10 with 1GB RAM alocated and 2 CPUs. The SR is a Delll Powervault md3220i, connect by iSCSI, and multipath is working properly.

Any idea of what may be happening?
