Not sure. Maybe do fsck and see if it will repair the filesystem ?

Hi Alan,

i got this problem and i try to repair/upgrade the xenserver and post it to this topic --> https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/409567-failed-upgrade-repair-xen-65/#comment-2067720

So actually its the same xenserver.

You basically do a clean install and uncheck the storage drives during install so it doesn't reinitialize them.

Best to have backups of your VM's of course.

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your reply. How i did this -> xe-backup-metadata -u <UUID of SR you want the metadata saved to> since i cannot login normally to my xenserver?

If you only need the metadata, that of course will not do a backup of any of your VM's.

that would be through vm-export I believe.

Hi Alan,

i read this article https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX136342 it said that if the existing xenserver below 7.0 the SR will be wiped out, and my existing is 6.5 so the SR will be wipe out.

Is there any other option i can do?

Regards

Rudy
