Ingo Kalker
Hi, did someone find a way to open a specific port (Zabbix agent) on XenServer 8? The instructions for version 7 are not working anymore. Every time I try to save and reload the modified /etc/sysconfig/iptables file via # service iptables save && service iptables restart my modifications are being overwritten by a default rule set. Thanks. Link to comment
0 Tobias Kreidl
Since XS 7.X is based on CentOS 7, it may be using firewalld instead of iptables. See for example: https://www.tecmint.com/start-stop-disable-enable-firewalld-iptables-firewall/ However, I believe iptables still should work under XS 7.X. See this thread about a XS 7.X firewall issue: https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/379475-xenserver-70-firewall/ -=Tobias Link to comment

Hi,

The instructions for version 7 are not working anymore. Every time I try to save and reload the modified /etc/sysconfig/iptables file via
# service iptables save && service iptables restart
my modifications are being overwritten by a default rule set.
Thanks.
