0 Alan Lantz
XenTools for Linux variants doesn't change much. What came with 8.1 should be current. --Alan-- Link to comment
0 Steve Seidl
Thanks Alan. Would happen to know the version that ships with 8.1. I inherited this farm. The version that shows is major: 7; minor: 1; micro: 50; build: 1. Would 8.1 actually show major: 8 as the version. I am just trying to sort this out. Not sure if these server were built with current tools or migrated from somewhere else. Link to comment
0 Tobias Kreidl
This thread points out how you can determine what XenTools version you are running on a VM and might be pf some use: https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/271970-how-to-get-xen-tools-version-running-on-machine/ -=Tobias Link to comment
0 Olivier Lambert
FYI, "Tools" on Linux are just the small agent reporting IP addresses and basic things. They don't change much and there's no risk to use "old" tools. Those "tools" aren't drivers, because the kernel is detecting Xen device and directly use PV drivers automatically. Link to comment
