I'm runnig Citrix Workspace (version 20.02.0.5) on a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) with macOS Catalina 10.15.4; and installed the HDX Real Time Media Engine 2,9 (tried also with 2.8; same issue).
All is working fine when not connecting an external screen. When I do connect my LG UltraFine 5K display via thunderbolt, my Mac crashes within a few minutes. The screen kind of "freezes", then the Mac login-screen appears (w/o full and more timely re-start it seems); after logging in again the various windows (e.g. Safari) open up again, but Citrix is closed. This happens irrespective of whether Citrix uses a single or both displays; or wether workign in full screen or not in full screen mode.
According to the Crash Reports in Console, there seem to be two processes involved in the crash, "hiid" and "WindowServer"; or "hiid" and "corebrightnesssd".
Examples for "crashed thread" messages in the console crash reports from hiid:
When I uninstall the HDX Real Time Media Engine, everything immediately works fine again (when I re-install it, the same crashes happen). When I work on the Macbook w/o connecting the external screen, also everything seems to work fine.
Any idea what the issue may be? How to resolve / fix? I'd really need to work with the HDX Real Time Media Engine...
