Some VM's unresponsive and host error

Good afternoon,

 

We are running Xen server 8.0 standard edition.  today i noticed that two out of 4 of my VM's are running normally where as the other two arent.  i can ping one of them but not the other and a forcible reboot or shutdown doesn't work.  The host itself isnt under any real heavy load and we utilise local RAID10 storage for the VM's

 

When i try and look at the host via Xen center every 60 seconds its showing /opt/xenresource/libexec/dom0term.sh: fork:rety:no child process

 

will be trying tool-stack restart and also rebooting the host this evening to see if that resolves

 

any thoughts?

Haven't seen XenServer do a fork bomb yet. A reboot should clear it out, but you may want to

increase Dom0 memory, especially if this is an upgraded server.

I rebooted the server and all was well.  It wouldn't even let me do a tool stack restart due to insufficient resource. 

 

Will schedule in a Dom0 memory upgrade
