Need urgent help with Citrix issue -> Citrix XenApp License Acquisition error (500) : or Citrix XenApp cannot contact the license server

Can you please help us. We are running into the following issue and are in kind of crisis


Currently we are using citrix 6.0 and we are runnig into following error when the application tries to contact the citrix server
 
Citrix XenApp License Acquisition error (500) : Unable to acquire a licensee from server. Pleasee contact your systemm administrator or open event viewer for more details.

Sometimes we also get Citrix XenApp cannot contact the license server 10.180.5.12


Your help is highly appreciated.

Could you please try the following and let me know if it helps:

 

To resolve the issue, complete one of the following tasks:

Restart the server.

 

Or

 

If it is not possible to restart the server, complete the following steps:

Launch the Citrix Computer Policy in the Citrix AppCenter.

Browse to “Licensing | License server hostname”.

Add a false server name in the Value field.

Click OK two times.

From the command window, run gpupdate /force.

Repeat Steps 1 to 5 but in Step 3, add the correct License Server name in the Value field.
