We are looking to migrate our XenApp SQL DB from SQL 2008R2 to a new server running SQL 2016.  Can you please let me know if these steps in the following link are still relevant?  We are running XenApp 6.5.

Which link are you referring to?

 

The typical steps should be:

 

1. On the SQL Management Studio in SQL Server, right click on the database and select Export. in the options make sure you are exporting full database.

2. Copy the back file over to the new SQL server

3. On the new SQL server, right click and say restore database. Select device and point to the back file in step 2
