Is Personal vDisk available and supported in CR

Does anyone know if Personal vDisks are available and supported in Citrix Provisioning CR 1903,  this seems to imply it is at least available but I thought they were removing it in favour of App Layering User Layers?

Personal vDisk is deprecated for Current Releases of CVAD and is not covered by LTSR. That tells me that Citrix is no longer maintaining the Personal vDisk code, which then again tells me that it may or may not working in certain scenarios.

So why is it still an option even in the latest CR 1906.
