Uwe Meyer
Hi, we use wem (1811) and the latest Windows Server 2016 Version. Citrix PorfileManagement and Folderedirection are configured via Grouppolicies. The Startmenu was not redirected. I have problems with the pinned Apps. In WEM i have configured some Applications with: - Shortcut to Dekstop - Pinned App to Startmenu - Create Entry in Startmenu All works, but the pinned apps are not there. When i logoff and login again, all Pinned Apps are created now. I already have set the following: Exclusion list - files: AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\vedatamodel.edb Folders to mirror: AppData\Local\TileDataLayer and AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Caches But always the same Problem. Does anyone know the problem? Regards Uwe Link to comment
James Kindon
pinning apps to the start menu is an inconsistent mess when you do it with WEM. I suggest using the Microsoft path instead https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2018/04/10/customizing-the-windows-10-start-menu-to-enable-better-control-better-experience/ https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2018/05/30/customizing-the-windows-10-start-menu-part-ii-what-to-do-post-deployment/ Link to comment

Hi,
we use wem (1811) and the latest Windows Server 2016 Version.
Citrix PorfileManagement and Folderedirection are configured via Grouppolicies.
The Startmenu was not redirected.
I have problems with the pinned Apps. In WEM i have configured some Applications with:
- Shortcut to Dekstop
- Pinned App to Startmenu
- Create Entry in Startmenu
All works, but the pinned apps are not there. When i logoff and login again, all Pinned Apps are created now.
I already have set the following:
Exclusion list - files: AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\vedatamodel.edb
Folders to mirror: AppData\Local\TileDataLayer and AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Caches
But always the same Problem.
Does anyone know the problem?
Regards
Uwe
