Citrix HDX RealTime Connector keeps reconnecting

Robert Cook

Question

Hi,

We are running the Office 365 version of Skype for Business and have installed the Citrix HDX RealTime Connector 2.7 on a Windows Server 2016 VDA and the Citrix HDX RealTime Media Engine 2.7 on a Windows 10 machine with latest workspace client.

When we logon to the desktop and run Skype, the Citrix HDX RealTime Connector will report as connected.  I can make voice and video calls for about a minute before the Citrix HDX RealTime Connector disconnects and then reconnects, it will continuously do this. I get the same behaviour if I just start Skype and leave it for a min.

I have tried an older version of Receiver but same issue.  We are connecting via a NetScaler but there doesn't appear to be any additional configuration for this?  I have tried allowing everything through the firewalls etc.

I haven't found anyone with a similar issue online yet, any suggestions?

Hi, i can confirm that removing HDX 2.7 and reverting to 2.6 solves the issue.

Note: after removing HDX 2.7, Lync.exe kept crashing at startup.

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\lync.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\Uc.dll

Installing HDX 2.6 removed the error and fixed HDX for Skype.
