NetScaler VPX requiered?

Hello,

 

a question to the deployment of XenDesktop Essentials. In the guide:

 I learned to provide access a desktops outside the cooperate network it is necessary to run a NetScaler VPX additional. Is that correct? 

If I need a NetScaler do I also need an additional license for it or is the license included in the monthly fee for the XenDesktop Essentials?
